Please feel free to comment, as I am open to suggestions. In the UK, we work more hours than the rest of Europe, but it has really damaged wellbeing ( Dr Pete Brandon in the Times.)As the hours of work increase, you will get ill ( Proefssor Cary Cooper) ... And as hours increase so has divorce and separation.Earning a living need not make you sacrifice what is deep and meaningful. A new phenomen has occured which combiens entrepreneurial solutions to that old trouble of starving babies.
Traditionally, old food may be distributed, or biscuits, which do not address the deficiencies and secondray problems of these babies. Indeed 80% of babies will die with rice or food in the stomach, but from malnutrition and secondary causes. Throwing money and food at the trouble may unsettle a fragile local eocnomy for the local farmers.
So what can be done to help long-term?In the NTC (Nourish The Children) alliance, entrepreneurs strive to create meaningful and humanitarian career opportunites.15,000 babies unedr the age of 5 will die from starvation last month (UNICEF - the state of the world's children).NTC alliance members guess that in a world rich in resources, the starvation of babies is NOT a fact of life, but an injustice which must be addressed. And we are actively working to do just that.Whilst human being may lament this with words, the NTC alliance has been busy with deeds. Over the last 3 years, the NTC alliance, has provided over 21,000,000 (21 million) meals to feed malnourished baibes around the world. NTC has also created jobs, and suphported lcoal farmers in poor countries. This has been accomplised by embracing the creativity of humanitarian entrepreneurs and the disciplines of business.NTC corps of humanitarian entrepreneurs come from many different backgrounds. We share a commitment to being a 'force for good' in the world, and a desire for balacne in life. We guess that every member of our alliance is entitled to the opportunity to improve their own circumstances as they work to imrpove the circumstances of others, and thereby feed even more babies - responsibly - supporting their health, and the local farmers into the process.E-mail me on pk.Saunders@virgin.Net, and let us discuss if our values fit.PeterPeter Saunders
